About ME and other stories.

Hi there.. they've said experience is the best teacher, but what use is the lesson learnt if you're dead??
that's probably why i've experienced it all, and still keep experiencing, so that i can share with everyone, and hopefully y'all can avoid some mistakes.
i'm deep in the medical field, hardly well known, or respected but one thing i have going for me, is the so called "listening ear". i come from a long linage of  south eastern listeners and problem solvers and even doctors. (great grand father was a herbalist.. god bless his soul) so living up to the family name, i studied drug pushing(a.k.a pharmacy) with my only sister choosing to be a butcher.. or  surgeon as she prefers to be called.
for as long as i can remember, i've always been confronted with  health related problems from friends, family, well wishers, and even strangers. ranging from my then roomie in the university asking me what to do about his body odor, to my ex girlfriend asking me to make her a cream to remove her stretch marks, or helping a friend revive a girl he 'gave' rohypnol.. i have seen, heard, done, solved and passed through a lot of things, and the major thing i noticed was how alone people feel while passing through tough shit.
in Nigeria, most often Google does not help. who do u run to when u first miss your period? you're clueless boyfriend? or your no nonsense father?
what happens when you run out of condoms? and you sleep with that random chick without protection...the guilt, fear of HIV and trepidation..
what happens when that chick you gave marijuana to "kiss small" runs out of your room stark raving mad?
where do u get HIV drugs? do they work? how do you avoid breast cancer? what is postinor? when should i take it? these and sooooooo many more similar issues i'm gonna gist about.
You are not alone, in fact, no matter what you're going through, some one has passed through it, and survived. or died. point is someone has done it before, and i probably heard about it.
So people, bring issues, cases, mysteries, as insignificant or life threatening as it seems, and i promise to listen and help you as much as i can, or link you to someone in your location who can.
Blog will be updated as often as my busy professional life permits, and  private questions should be directed to nigerianmedic@gmail.com
gracias.
